Sweet Sunday Sketch and Verve Stamps Embellish Borders Challenge

Geesh...that titles a mouthful....lol....however these two challenges were awesome this week. As soon as I saw the colours on the Embellish Magazine blog I knew I wanted to play as the colours were perfect for an Easter card - I may have taken too much license adding the grey bunny though....cest la vie. I downloaded these cute little farm animals as part of an Easter bundle from CC Design Stamps - how cute are they????? and with the Sweet Sunday sketch I could see them going together perfectly.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Challenge #26

Boy cards are my toughest challenge! This morning I headed down to Scrappin Outback my LSS and picked up some 'boy' papers with the decision to make the most of this long weekend creating some 'boy' birthday cards. Taylored Expressions Card Sketch #102

This little Magnolia stamp has been converted into an Easter image with the addition of some bunny ears - love the magnolia image and I think she epitomises spring! I stamped the ears from a Stamps Happen Inc stamp called Easter Basket Bunnies and just cut the poor bunnies ears off and popped them onto Tilda...lol. The Taylored Expressions Sketch was great for creating a layered card and I used a Magnolia stamp to make it fit with the Easter Challenge at Magnolia Down Under.

When I first looked at this sketch I was not at all sure what to do with it...but after looking at the DT's cards at 2S4U and checking my stash for patterned paper the card evolved very quickly - funnily enough these are actually Christmas papers from My Minds Eye - I picked them for the stripe - cant resist a nice bright and cheery stripe with orange....lol

The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge #17

I have kinda avoided colour challanges prefering sketchs but Julie from the Play Date Cafe invited me over to have a go and I thought I would play again with my CC Stamps - a cute little girl with a basket of eggs. No cricut cuts on this one - just ordered my easter cartridge so hoping it arrives in time to play before easter! PS I apologise for any typos involving th 'e' or 'l' key as they arent working on my keyboard at the momnet so I am having to type then back track with my onscreen keyboard and add the e's and l's....arghhhhhh!

How excited am I ....just opened up my Etsy shop today and sold 3 out of my 7 cards within 2 hours.....WOW....Im so chuffed!

I'm having so much fun with these spring images from All that Scraps - the little characters are so cute and so much fun to colour. Had a crop at my LSS last night and couldn't tear myself away from card making to do some layouts....lol...so with my gypsy and stamp stuff in hand spent the night creating the bits for this little card and colouring in more of the spring images soon to feature in cards and laughing along with the girls. Also had a play with my sewing machine this morning to try the cross stitch design - my sewing machine hasn't been put away for 4 weeks now - need to find a way to set it up in my scrap room I think....lol.

What did I do.......

I am having to think back to the dim dark days b4 internet at home as a big storm came through yesterday and blew out my modem/wireless router and I am internet free at home (if you dont count my iphone....lol). Was able to update my facebook but the iphone screen just isnt the same for blog hopping and photos taken on my phone just arent the same as the ones with my Canon SLR.....so this weekend, valentine trip to Perth has been labelled (in my head) trip to get a new wireless router and dinner with my squeeze....lol.......I know they should be in reverse order and I pray the squeeze doesn't read this.....LOL

My first Tilda stamp arrived today along with a heap of other stamps from Stamping Bella...and I was so excited I had to have a play immediately....of course.....I had been playing with the Sweet Sunday sketch and my new Cricut Gypsy and was just trying to decide what image to feature and so it all came together - Tilda underneath this GORGEOUS tree from the Zoobaloo Cartridge - the best images are found in the most unlikely cartridges....lol
