Rock the Bump!

I have a colleague at work who is about to go on maternity leave so I am organising with my coworkers to put together a hamper for her wishing her the best in this exciting time - an of course she needs a card!  Surprise, surprise I made a few to choose from but these are the two finalists....not too sure which way I am going to go!

Feel Better Soon

I have had this Taylored Expression image stamped and ready to colour for a few weeks but wasn't too sure what to do with it - I love the image!  My list this week of cards I NEED to make includes a 'Get Well' card for a colleague who is off for a few weeks due to a shoulder operation and a 'Condolence' card (I always find these soooo hard to do).  I thought the little flower image in the stamp bright and cheerful and perfect to go with the Art Impressions sentiment.

A very special 70th Birthday Card - Happy Birthday Mum!!!

A card frenzied holiday

I have had an awesome 3rd term break - sorted out some health issues, re-evaluated my personal life and hopefully put a few things in place to get back on track! 

Craft is definitely my down time and I am scheduling it back into my life.  I go to my happy place when I am up to elbows in texture paste and ink so need to make time to play!  I have ordered my Erin Condren Life Planner after reading and viewing Karen Werner's blog and bit the bullet - and I am now PLANNING on adding some dedicated time to crafting.  I created the cards below over the last few weeks and am happy to say I have my 73 Christmas cards ready to mail out!

Getting ready for Christmas.....

Usually by this time of the year I have most of my Christmas cards done but this year has been a little hectic! So, I have spent the last few days knocking them out and here are my designs for this year!

Easter Gifts 2014

Hi all....played around this holidays and made a pattern for an Easter bag for my nieces...a bit of fun and a bit of fiddling - I've used some MFT dies, Taylored expressions stamps and the 'Create a Critter' Cricut cartridge....add some washi tape and a little random ribbon and I hope the girls like them!

Mixed Media Canvas

Holidays to me mean a chance to play and the time to do it! - I started with a 6x12 canvas, a damask stencil and some paste. Next I attacked it with a range of matte paints, lumiere metallic acrylics and inks before going in with my pan pastels to do some blending.  Finally I stamped out the Prima Doll and a few different Dyllusions banners - added some butterflies then a little doodling (well out of my comfort zone).

The Simon Says Stamp, January Card Kit arrived last week so this weekend in attempt to not think about school (which starts for students tiomorrow, I have been having a play with the kit and the ideas on Simon Says Stamp's Pinterest boards - gee they have some great ideas!
